Hi John
I've been able to dig out 2 pics showing a 'flat' de-carbed body and a 'full' carb loaded one. I hope this helps illustrate the point I was making in my last post. De-carbed physique ![]() Carb loaded physique |

Hi John,
We use the terms "full" or "flat" in bodybuilding.A properly carbloaded muscle looks "full" if you know what I mean.It may sound amusing but we all "tan up" ie use a special type of tan to create a "shimmer" effect. and Nana is no exception. This is because of the bright lights on stage and the fact that even amongst darker skinned peoples the degree of colouration is uneven on the body.So the tan creates the illusion of an "even" all round colour and enhances the muscles appearance. It is like applying make-up in a way. Hope you understand. I wouldn't worry too much about the deleted post.It is just that there are certain rules and code of ethics which we must abide by to protect the integrity of the forum and these were not followed. The administrator insists that the forum should not be turned into a circus. The muscles on a de-carbed body look flat and the skin droopy. You also feel very tired with no pump when you lift weights. The tricky bit is when to time the reloading; how long for, and whether you will hit your peak condition at the time when you are expected on stage. Overdo it and you "spill-over ie you appear bloated on stage with less muscle separation.Don't do enough and you don't get the required pump and look "flat" on stage. It takes a bit of practice and I confess that I have made mistakes in the past whereby I have not given myself enough time to fully load the muscles for fear of spilling over.I am not a lover of using diuretics so this presents its own problems. Hopefully when the Gallery and Video section of this website is reactivated I will post pics of a de-carbed body. This was when I was preparing for the Mr Universe contest in Lithuania in 2008.For this show I consumed 2kg of Original Vitargo fuel and was still flat on stage, yet Nana consumed less than half that amount and looked the best he has ever looked. So one size doesn't fit all. |

Dayo, I read your article about Nana's carbloading with vitargo original and found it quite interesting. The lads muscles looked swollen and shiny. I also noticed that your site administrator deleted a posting below. What was that all about? Hope you do not mind me asking.
Dayo, still on the issue of carbloading how do you know when the body is fully decarbed to start the re-loading? Sorry to be a bit of a pain but I find this quite intersting. |
